They've got the numbers to pass anything they want - everything gets voted through.
Thorney's 37 million is only 3% of the 1.14 billion shares on issue.
A company of this size will always take the money, it's too tempting - they always do. The big boys always get there way.
But, I don't get the impression that these will be dumped on market, Thorney already hold and seem to be the type of investors that like to be long, look at their stake in Mesoblast as an example.
A bear thesis for me would be the misuse of funds, not acquiring them from an investor with the pedigree of Thorneys.
