I'm working in the IT environment at the moment, we are moving to 365, Thread will be like other 'plug ins' to 365, tick a box and now you can chat from within any 365 app where you are allowed too, word, outlook, excel, CRM, GP, AX etc and see all your social media feeds in one place.
MS was late to cloud but they are going big and fast now.
