Creation of a lean business based conversation enabled collaborative platform for (MSFT) users which will allow seamless yet secure access; editing and discussion around the various business docs contained in the current O365 product suite (Word/Excel/Ppt etc) including scheduling (Calendar) appointments; meetings etc
The kicker will be if the user can collaborate with others (from LinkedIn for example) outside of the current organisation and can measurably perform faster more effective business process times.
A streamlined email-esque built into an active chat window within open documents.
Embracing "Conversation as a Platform" vision of Satya Nadella's.
To easily crush Slack & gain MSFT valuable market share in this massive business collaboration space top down.
The second kicker is the consumer based version of the Thred app being exposed to the *gazillions that make up the current MS O365 user base (better known as Thred's "initial target market")
*only an approximate number but it's big
That's what I loosley reckon is likely anyway..
Perhaps they will cut to the chase & buy them and do all of the above who knows..
