You obviously haven't heard of Ellendale mined 2002-2015 peaked at over 200,000ct/yr from two diamond pipes approximately 40km from Brooking. So when you are looking for diamonds the most likely source is in a known diamond provenance with proven diamond mines. If you are talking Australian geology the Ellendale field area is currently the most likely to produce diamonds. There are a number of exploration companies in the area, Burgundy Diamonds-Ex Gibb, India Bore Diamonds, DevEx and some smaller groups looking around the area.
