Two possibilities for the ramp up
1 - process the higher grade ASAP to get a sugar hit for the first half of this year but risk falling in a heap once the wet comes.
2 - stockpile to ensure there is no drop off in the wet season even if it means less spectacular figures for the first half.
I think Caigen would have been an option 1 type of bloke and Matt would choose Option 2.
