No different to a multitude of other ASX listed shares but some of the big short positions have been built up ahead of takeover approaches (LTR, Cardinal Resources a few years ago and possibly here at TIE.) If all goes well over the next few months there will be a rush to cover the 50 million plus shorts at that time.
