What you say is correct but it's only a small part of the story. Coal is "on the nose" only to the uninformed public. Thermal coal prices are high and our coking coal is sought after. We can easily sell all we can produce. If you remove the "Western" factor what you see at Amaam is a thriving business; coal produced by Asians sold into the Asian market. Russia has sanctions imposed upon it resulting in no chance of getting Western finance. But this is far removed from what the West are trying to achieve a long way further west. TIG is more or less collateral damage. If it continues, this wonderful enterprise (with a NPV in the Billions$) will be forced into the hands of the very people the West is trying to punish.
Added to that, the TIG Board have resigned themselves to defeat. Their plan seems to be to prove this is a viable enterprise, slowly, slowly, then hope some nice guys will come and buy it.
