"Academics have over inflated egos and absolutely no idea.That's why they are in academia."... Wow, that's pretty damn insulting and way off the mark. In my experience, the brightest do PhDs and the best of them are offered a university tenure, while those who can't go sit on a rig. I've also found that ego and ability is only weakly correlated, met many egotistical bogans growing up on the wrong side of the tracks dumb as dishwater (no offense to any bogans reading, they come in all flavours).

"Those who can, do. Those who can't, offer unwanted narratives"... unwanted narratives, quick, call the mods or hit squad If you don;t like the narrative, don't grizzle about it just correct it. The true test of intelligence is not how much we know, but how we behave when we don't know...

"They need to leave the real world business running to the folks that have real world skills"... finally something we can agree on!
