Good strategy with drilling T1-ST1. It seems 2b a tricky manouvre, at a very high angle (not quite a lateral or a perpendicular section, but 70-80 degree trajectory frm the vertical).
They need to keep the angle buildup consistent, otherwise they could miss the sweet-spot with the Nido Limestone reservoir.
Thought they would have picked up the faultline when they did the initial seismics here, as thats where the water seepage was coming from into T1. Looks like cement job was also to blame (as per KIK's recent preso).
Looking at their past reports, they had set the 9" casing at around the 1654mRT mark back in 2008 & the 8.5" hole TD was at 1875m.
With the testing back in June, 44m of the Nido formation was perforated frm 1606-1650m. So I'd expect the kick-off point frm much higher up, in the well.
P1K/ Strat, interested in y'r thoughts (say 1420m onwards mayb or do they need to go higher up).![]()
