Hello, yes I read the whole announcement. Funding and FID are two different things. As others have already noted on the recent presentation thread, there have been subtle changes to when FID is supposed to occur (language has slipped on it) and now in this announcement it doesn't get any mention at all. As for not leading with the headline, what is the material news in here: is it the water update? Yet another headcount being added? Or is it the funding? I find that with junior miners, it always pays to read these announcements from the back first as that's where the real news is.
I quite like this project and think Mr Grove has good prior credibility but that can't disguise how timelines keep slipping. FID was originally supposed to be end of the September 2024 quarter meaning production 18 months thereafter so early-mid 2026. Almost six months on they're now releasing project updates and not even mention FID. With each slippage goes the timeline to production, it's now saying 2027. How many more of these before they have to admit the project is not actually "near term"?
