Allow me to ask you a serious question. Not that I agree with the last statement you made, but that's fine, let's say hypothetically that TTT are taken over - how much do you guesstimate think it could go for? The current MC? Personally I find it hard to believe that could happen for anything less than 3 times as much or more, so hmm $2.50 doesn't look so high from that perspective. As others have mentioned the CSIRO owns the IP so a take over doesn't appear possible.
