I agree with you.
Interestingly I know people who work there and the Boeing contract is for a tooling die made from tool steel...i.e. nothing to do with fly-parts or Titanium itself!
Also, I know of a company called Norsk Titanium, they are FAA approved and supply parts for Boeings Dreamliner...it took Boeing over 5 years to certify the company and it's process to become a Boeing approved supplier....so, new processes like TTT's won't be approved for a number of years yet!
$10-15M per day is a pretty ballsy call too....I say BS as well...but am happy to be wrong, one day....
