The Ord hydro plant owned by Pacific Hydro which was purchased by the State Investment Corp under Pacific Blue
The Ord River hydro power plant achieves two key aims: it provides electricity to the Argyle Diamond Mine and the nearby towns of Kununurra and Wyndham – and does so in an environmentally friendly way.

In January 2020, Pacific Blue was awarded funding from WA’s McGowan Government to conduct a feasibility study to assess the potential of a co-located hydrogen Facility at The Ord.

Traditional owners’ $3b plan to turn Kimberley hydro into green exports
Grant said Pacific Blue, that owns the hydroelectric plant, looked at the feasibility of making ammonia just using its own power, but the project was too small to be economical.

WA hydrogen project is almost four times larger than Whyalla’s
The federal government will contribute $1.7 million towards a feasibility study for a newly announced hydrogen project in Western Australia which dwarfs what’s proposed for the Upper Spencer Gulf in SA

The project would see an East Kimberly clean energy hub created, comprising Australia’s largest solar farm at 1000 megawatts of generation paired with 850MW of electrolysis capacity to produce 50,000 tonnes of green hydrogen per year.

IMO the Hydro announcement is important - this agreement no doubt needed to start the feasibility process with Horizon Power re: transmission (otherwise what generation source are they connecting to?) - this also utilises the surplus generation capability for Pacific Blue - around 10MW where the fluorite plant is slated to use 8MW.

There is a massive amount of interest in the area per above - noting I was not actively keeping tabs on this project above.

Circling back to the above CEDA Speakers :
Rob Grant, head of projects at climate change investor Pollinationwhich is the fourth member of the East Kimberley Clean Energy Project, said having indigenous groups involved at the start would speed up the project.
Martin Wilder AM - Founder/CEO Pollination Group - ESG & Climate related disclosures

So a member of Pollination who are working on this massive project in the same area as TIVAN is one of the Speakers at CEDA.

Also don't forget Doug Hilton who is also speaking at CEDA said this about TIVAN+
CSIRO Chief Executive Dr Doug Hilton said this important partnership will see the development and commercialisation of cutting-edge, CSIRO-patented technology increasingly used in the production of renewable energy storage systems.

The CEFC head Ian Learmonth is also a speaker - they are in charge of financing zero emissions projects
We're Australia's 'green bank', investing in our net zero emissions future. With access to more than $30 billion from the Australian Government

Saul Griffith is also one of the Speakers - Electrify Everything is a great read/listen & Saul is one of, if not the leading voices in this space.
Rewiring Australia founder Saul Griffith is a man on a mission to electrify the nation, one suburb at a time
How to build a green economic boom

And of course Dino Otranto is now FMG CEO which are positioned now as a major technology/decarbonisation organisation targeting industrial scale projects - their electrolyser manufacturing plant recently opened in Gladstone & Fortescue Future Industries has many irons in many fires.

Could not have dreamed up a better list of attendees than who is going to be at CEDA - so many bases covered.

A chance for TIVAN to showcase the what the company is about - not your run of the mill mining org (noting also the focus at this conference on AI)
