The problem with Nuclear is not just the greens or Labor etc.
Australia do not have the technology, have never built one, do not have the engineering expertise, standards, specialised equipment/supply lines, construction expertise, quality management know how, let alone site selection - need a massive supply of inexhaustible cool water, near transmission infrastructure & well educated workforce - physicists top of their game, operations staff.

Think beneficiation plants are complex - this is exponentially more difficult.

Should we have base load nuke - better than coal.
Can we design, procure, build, commission & operate - yeah take a rain check on that.
