I wouldn't expect any commentary until a deal is done. The Japanese are very secretive about any dealings.
From what I recall the company was looking to mine samples from Mt. Peake to confirm V Electrolyte production. It appears that there is now a desire to confirm Speewah ores compatibility.
The timelines look pretty tight to me, almost like someone is in a hurry.
