1) Recent good news
We’ve been saying since long that a lot of good news is in store. Today’s announcement (graphene) accompanies other good announcements recently like battery grade spherical graphite, possibility of initial income stream and funding through China JV, high profile ex Big 4 accounting firm head joining us and the jumbo flake announcement. I hope that TON is working on insto support / finance because for me, that is the main thing that will lead to a sustained price rise in future. Personally, I am hoping that there are no more announcements unless this matter has been resolved. I’ve never doubted the fundamentals of TON which otherwise continue to be strengthened by the day. I’m not too bothered about short term fluctuations but if all the recent announcements were also accompanied with insto support and funding, then the impact on share price could be huge.
2) Ticking of boxes and possible part of bigger picture
It is interesting that a lot of the recent news was about ticking of boxes – we too can produce spherical graphite, we have jumbo flake, we can produce graphene, etc. This is all stuff, a large investor / someone contemplating takeover / someone considering a long term partnership (like how YXGC did with TON in April) would definitely be interested in. It is almost as if someone wants to see if we really have the ability to tick boxes
I wouldn’t be surprised if all this is not part of a bigger picture just like what @Dr.Seuss mentioned earlier, comparing to the March expandable graphite announcement.

3) Media reports

http://www.abnnewswire.net/press/en...mbique_Graphite"_(TMG)_Produces_Graphene.html
As Proactive says, our product range has been expanded and we have a chance to carve a slice of a sector that is very much in its infancy. Also our product range continues to get expanded. Similar to the recent jumbo flake announcement - another target market for us
4) Government-sponsored laboratory in Singapore and YXGC partners
Tests were conducted at a government sponsored Singapore lab. This could have so many meanings that it is hard to figure out what it means. It could indicate Singaporean government interest in our graphite. Also to be noted that Singapore and China have very close ties. Maybe, it could also mean potential Singaporean customers/offtakers could be involved. Really any range of possibilities here.
@hlingh mentioned sometime back that YXGC has a lot of co-operating universities too, possibly assisting in research. So, this could also just be some sort of similar tie up between TON and the Singapore lab.

The moving banner on YXGC’s that @hlingh mentioned is definitely worth a read

合作伙伴 means partner as per google translate and there is an amazing list of some very reputed names over there. – Philips, Samsung, University of Cambridge, Seagate, Sharp, Stanford University, Showa Denko, TDK, Western Digital, Hitachi, IBM, Columbia university, LG, Harvard university
I’m not sure of the nature of the "partnerships/dealings", but even YXGC dealings in any form is definitely good news for TON.
5) Graphene Economics
In the industry-standard production runs only 1.5 grams of TMG concentrate was required to produce approximately 250ml of high concentration graphene oxide solution.
Research has found that graphene oxide solution is sold commercially in a diluted form (concentration at 4mg/ml) and can sell for of up to $400 for 250ml. Triton considers that the economics of producing graphene oxide and subsequently graphene from TMG are very encouraging.
My comments – I wouldn’t be getting hopes up for some massive profits from graphene in future, as a lot can happen and the graphene market is still in its infancy.
What I am however getting hopes up on is that this is another market which seems very possible to target.
6) Uses of graphene and future wonder material
Lots of stuff to read for those interested and investors new to the graphite/graphene scene. Most graphite investor regulars know that graphene is supposed to be a future wonder material. Of course, as mentioned earlier, the industry is still in its infancy
As mentioned on Pg 5
“Interest in GO continues to grow as people search for a cheaper, simpler, more efficient and better yielding method of producing graphene, that can be scaled up massively compared to current methods, and be financially suitable for industrial or commercial applications. Once this issue is overcome, we can expect to see graphene become much more widely used in commercial and industrial applications”
7) Conclusion-
For me, this is another tick in the box and another target market.
Our involvement with YXGC, a pure graphite specialist could yield rich dividends in the future, as they themselves would be keen to research all potential uses of graphite, and target the inevitable huge graphene market in the decade to come.
Anything that TON’s graphite is capable of producing is also incentive for YXGC to get deeper into our partnership
TON’s story keeps improving by the day. Securing finance and insto support are the 2 main areas that I would like TON to focus on, as mentioned earlier. TON has ticked off almost every possible box besides these two and these 2 are normally based on how well a company ticks off every other box. So, I continue to have faith that TON will tick off these 2 in time, as some instos see the massive leverage that TON offers as compared to other players in the graphite field.
We have all been speculating that BB has been making visits to Asia lately. Japan and Korea were 2 names that came up often. Now we have one more country to speculate about
