TNC delivers 6,000 tonnes of copper oxide ore to the GAM plant in Cloncurry and assume as per JORC and allow for mining contamination, will be max of 0.6% Cu, which equates to 36 tonnes of copper metal which will make 144 tonnes of 25% copper sulphate. Assuming 100% recovery. Most heap leach's gets 70% max. Copper sulphate selling $US2,500 tonne. Why don’t TNC give these numbers so we all know?
144 tonnes x 70% recovery = 100 tonnes, x $US2,500 = $US250,000 or $A375,000.
We have no idea what it costed to mine and transport and crush and stack on heap or cost per tonne to produce Copper Sulphate through SX plant. What I can say with confidence is that there will be a new cap raise coming knowing what the probable costs are. So far I’ve been in the money with every post.
