"Following a tender process"

This sounds like it has been under consideration for some time.

Clough are a pretty big engineering firm (a few doors up from where I live) who I know have been a significant player in oil/gas as well as materials handling.
SMS do seem to have a fair few Australian projects where they have an involvement & I'd have probably guessed a different engineering company, but this makes sense.

Clough's in country gas experience is probably something that played a part - the different hydrogen technologies which TNG & SMS have announced - plasma pyrolysis/turquoise hydrogen/carbon black - direct reduction process, Hysustain with AGV, will both require an engineering firm with hazardous area experience. Particularly as Hydrogen is a class IIC gas, knowledge & experience is priority. And Australia's EEHA/Hazardous area rules are complex so having an in country expert is the right way to go.
