It's good that GHD are doing the overall technical oversight on the program, and have local experience, but the drilling itself will be carried out by a subcontracting drilling company (such as Boart Longyear, Easternwell, WellDrill or Connector Drilling over in WA etc,,). If they have employed drillers with little knowledge or prior drilling experience in the geology found at the site then there is potential for delays. For example they could drill through local unconsolidated formations that cause continuous collapse of the hole in which they would have to find a way to keep the whole open without collapsing (such as driving external casing into the ground - DR).
Delays are very frequent in drilling programs, and usually never finish on time especially if a bore turns out to be a duster (i.e. no water) or does not have enough yield. This would mean another bore will be added to the program to reduce the water deficit, and thus time added onto the completion date.
Just thinking out loud, but having said that TNG have most likely taken all this into account when setting the DFS submission date.
