As one who is over all of the fluff announcements and non-core side shows, I have to say that this is a good announcement.
This announcement has nothing to do with the Darwin hydrogen side show. This is about replacing burning coking coal with the ore as a reduction agent with hydrogen. This is the future of steel production and other processes involving reduction.
This process will significantly reduce scope 1 emissions but more importantly may be more cost effective if we can get produce our own hydrogen onsite from renewables.
