Assuming TNG are now pumping to tanks, we have a far greater chance of being approved to access water rights from a deep aquifer than a perched aquifer that supports vegetation and feeds two springs, vegetation / wildlife and, in all likelihood, will have cultural significance to our First Nations people.

That being the case, what is the point of TNG spending shareholders $ on assessing / investigating the perched aquifer? Following that, what is the point of this announcement?

My point is to pursue the perched aquifer is a distraction where effort, capital and time could be spent elsewhere for greater value more quickly and that TNG have a habit of making these "white elephant" announcements. (They sound good on the day, but are we actually going to deliver the benefits loosely inferred in the announcement while wasting shareholders $ and precious time to find the idea was never going to fly in the first place?)

Again, stick to deep aquifers with less visible impact, less resistance and easier approvals. Stop announcing "the latest though bubble" without thinking through the practicalities.
