My take fwiw,they are in possession of enough information to produce a capex range based on current prices. The range goes from very high to unfundable. Clearly that can't be released,without also tendering burtons resignation, so buy a year, and see if supply chain tightness and inflation pressures have moderated by then.If not,then pivot back to SMS,as this would then buy another year,after which burton could be marched,with an additional years pay. Whether Mt Peake ever gets developed is not something I would put any money on at this point.Unless the change team get in and the others get out,I doubt we will ever learn the facts about where this project truly stands. My opinion only.
