And I just looked at the location, it's around the corner from the Carringbush hotel which I used to catch up with friends for a beer & pork pot pie after working at Fairfield when I lived in Clifton Hill.
Just spent the past Thursday & Friday night in Melbourne (went to Keith Urban's concert at Rod Laver then Clocks till very late) before walking back to my hotel along the Yarra/Southbank.
Melbourne was more alive than ever. Fantastic city.
Carringbush, BTW is Iconically Australian. Australian author Frank Hardy set the novel Power Without Glory in a fictionalised version of the suburb, named Carringbush. The name is used by a number of businesses in the area, such as "Carringbush Business Centre". At one time a ward in the City of Yarra that includes part of Collingwood was actually named Carringbush.
