I am pretty sure TNG would not have been the one to pinpoint hydrogen as the way to do it. This latest development would have to have been instigated by SMS to give them an additional innovative technology to go with TIVAN, IMO.

If true, TNG is looking better all the time.

Agree.
In my opinion SMS would have been coming up with feasible ideas re add ons and tweaking, so in essence driving this, since they got involved.
