I have been pondering about the location myself. It would have to be grid tied not islanded you would guess.

The article mentions a battery type other than Vanadium, perhaps they will expand to include the demo battery.
Eitther way, as long as EMC get to do their thing its good. The battery has to store energy produced somehow, so hopefully lots of nice solar farms and electrical engineering work.
