The longer life is a plus but the extremes of temperature is even better, esp for Australia. For example, good luck to you if you have a lithium battery storage in Marble Bar in Summaer at 50 degrees or anywhere across Northern Australia. BOOM! if its lithium.
And I wonder whether desalination plants now have a valuable waste product. Recycle the salt extracted from the Ocean water and effectively "use it" for the batteries that you also use to power your desal system. ESG investors would love it.
