I Agree with you here. The only thing I'll add is that when I called to enquire about the plague a week or two ago, I was surprised when the co-sec (didn't identify himself by name) said that he was not aware of the disease affecting operations as there was only a small presence there with one rig and its operator. Surprised, but not being in the mining industry myself, I surmised that this must be standard procedure or at the very least Cougar knew what they were doing.
As for the JV, Randal owns his own rigs and is very experienced, so I suspect that was the reason.
Also, I can't see Randal making this unlawful arrest story up as if untrue, DNI and Mr Weir would undoubtedly sue.
Time will bring this all to light, and unfortunately, it will leave us hanging in limbo and the SP a shrivelling to a prune. That is, if we don't cut our losses and move on, which I'm seriously considering.
