from memory they were not interested in ground right to the east but as you can see the same tenement extends further north/northwest and hugs the ground ALK had and bought from SFR.
Also there is very little drilling being done on that ground. Red dots are historical and don't show all the holes ALK and AQX drilled recently but it gives you an idea. See the tope part of AQX ground and you'll notice there are very few holes there.
RIO and others drilled lot more at Boda and Kaiser and still missed the deposits. Wongarbon has not seen a single RC and DC hole and EL8646 has seen very few.
Green colors are late ordovician rocks (mainly) and those are the ones that matter most for porphyries in this region.
