I agree it is a curious investment, but as it is not material for them, probably does not warrant disclosure. They are a $8 billion market cap company.
They may be looking at this as an ESG type investment and may also be wanting to invest more at a later date.
They did get a good chuck of the IPO capital raise, so they could be a good source of future funding for Phase#1, that does not give any control away.
I agree it is a curious investment, but as it is not material...
