Indeed it does, but why would you buy options for something that's still well out of the money if you could buy the shares and get upside on that before then selling and rolling back into the options? Black scholes option values are great in theory but in practice, especially on what is already an inherently risky industry, I'll be using intrinsic value for the short to mid term on these options.
