Firstly, for me the 4 announcements from the directors is excellent. Chris Jordinson and Ian Ross, both existing shareholders, have put in over $30k each to significantly increase their shareholdings. Both will now be sitting just outside the top 20. John Lemon, Secretary, has been around for many years without ever owning a share has bought $5k and the new director has bought $2400 worth. I draw a high degree of confidence about the future of Sandpiper from these actions.
The new top 20 makes for some interesting reading too.
There is no Pattersons holding account entering the top 20. So they have been left holding no more than about 8 million shares from their underwriting at the most. It appear they had no trouble selling the unsubscribed shares. I did hear a rumour that they were massively oversubscribed when they opened their book but that's just rumour.
John Kahlbetzer's combined holding in Twynam and Donwillow has gone from 30.9% of UCL to 31.69%. A modest increase
MAK's share has declined from 14.64% to 13.11% so whilst they participated they appear to have elected to not apply for enough to fully maintain their share. Most of the other existing top 20 also participated.
We have a number of new entrants with all of them having done so by buying shares as the prev 20th holder had 5.3 million and now the bottom line is 8.037 million. The standout is the ABN AMRO account with 68 million shares staring right out at us. This may be the party that bought 50 million rights on the market and who I am guessing is the one accumulating at present. The other entrants all have over 10 million except the new #20 at 8.03 million. (Chris Jordinson 8 million, Ian Ross 7 million).
