My conspiracy theory:
There is a good reason for this SJ.
It’s my opinion that this is as you’ve noticed and many others too, that this tactic is purely working towards acquiring more shares. It’s fairly complicated in the manner it is being achieved, and in the fullness of time with hindsight we will be all the wiser in my opinion as to the motives and reasons behind the tactic.
In my opinion it does not effect the end result of a great multi bagger for holders, but does move more shares into larger holders hands.
