And that really is the critical issue, Andrew. To be an effective alternative to antibiotics, a drug needs to be more that an effective bacteria killer, or possess resistance properties.
Kills bacteria - so does methylated spirits. No resistance to multiple use - nor has methylated spirits. But you would not use methylated spirits (or bleach, as Donald Trump suggested) as a medication, because it would kill much more than the the bacteria, or virus.
RCE has yet to prove that any of its products are safe to use at the dosages required to be effective, Certainly, that is what the various phased trials are intended to establish and it may well be that this company does, indeed, turn out to have a winner - but there is a long way to go before that happens. And that is where, as you rightly say, one's 'faith' comes into it - if you believe that it will successfully pass all the trials, holding for the long term (and it is a LONG term, contrary to what some seem to think) is a sound strategy. But if it stumbles at any stage, the share price could collapse overnight, as many pharmaceutical hopefuls have.
Based on my information and research, I am not convinced that RCE has anything that will bear out the optimism that this stock has generated - of course, your mileage may vary.
