POSITIVE DATA FROM RECCE® 327 ANTIBIOTIC RANGE FINDING TOXICITY (SAFETY) STUDIES IN ANIMALS
Indicated that 327 is well tolerated in doses well above the efficacious levels in rats and dogs… in some instances 80 times the efficacious dose. Comparatively, Vancomycin, a commercially successful broad-spectrum antibiotic, indicates efficacy at 50mg/kg when IV administered, but is highly toxic at 400mg/kg, with all rats dying in a study before completion of a course. To put that into perspective for you… that is only 8 times efficacious dose.
I understand nothing has been proven in human clinical trials yet but if Vancomycin is a commercially successful drug with significantly lower tolerability toxicity in rats why would RECCE have less of a chance of proving its compounds are commercially viable?
Please enlighten me with your “information” and “research” that I seemed to have missed.
