It is not a lake. They are not going to mine from a portal out on the lake (salt pan), but one coming in from the shore.

The water above is only an issue if the IOCG basement is permeable to the water above. It almost certainly isn't. The same issue comes up all the time with oil and gas deposits where they often have to extract the hydrocarbon resource from below the artisan water after drilling through the water zone(s). If this was a major issue they would not be starting drilling again in a couple of weeks.

I guess I should be greatful for the complete misunderstanding of all of this as it let me buy a whole lot of shares at 1.3c
