I think you are confusing did they consider hitting water with did they think they would hit water. Nobody drilling anywhere is going to discount hitting water, but you don't nescessarily waste a huge amount of time and money on the expectation of hitting water.

It is not the end of the world to hit water, you just back up, change plans a little and continue. It only the complete panic merchants here that make this out into something it isn't. ARE is cashed up and will drill on irrespective of a little water or what happens to the SP.

Who it is more a problem for is AIS who are in the middle of negotiating a massive deal to buy the CSA mine. They really need their SP to be as high as possible right now.
