This is a 10+ Billion barrel field and wells are cheap. The things you mention MAY (pardon the pun) factor in to development planning, but none are at all a risk in this situation.

    • The rig is struggling to stop the well flowing with ~2 SG mud in the hole. Flow assurance will not be an issue. Heterogeneity always a factor in limestones, but well is already trying to flow.
    • Field is already enormous at assumed 5% RF. That is a lot of immobile oil. Of course, 5% RF likely a significant underestimate.
    • It will be decades till anyone thinks about EOR on this beast
    • Not sure why high GOR would be an issue (other than dealing with the gas at surface), but negates your concern about heavy oil, can't have both.
    • This is multi-billions of barrels. A short term well test is very unlikely to see any hint of reservoir boundaries/contacts.
    • We already know we're in massive overpressure. Top of section needed 1.88 SG mud to stop well flowing, That wasn't enough in the deeper parts of the section. We're at ~twice hydrostatic gradient. You're correct here, that is good.
