When you're picking stations for an MDT run you look for the following:
- good clean sand (low GR)
- high porosity and permeability
- hole that isn't washed out or rugose (rough). Both can result in failure to get a seal of the probe packer rubber against the borehole wall. The FMI tool has a four arm caliper so if gives you caliper measurements along the short and long axis of the hole.
