Looking at the seismic and again at the announcements it's possible that fracture networks with in the opholites played a substantial role with the misinterpretation. From my understanding we deviated away from the crest of the interpreted structure as we hit substantial fractures and oil in shakers. If a rock body exhibits fracturing it can impact seismic velocities and hence create a false interpretation of lithology changes rather then fracturing.

I also think that this makes A2 the potential source as that structure goes below some of zopato and lines up with spill for oil in the shakers.

Either way I'm holding on for Alameda appraisal/development. Oil exploration is risky and its best to have some failure early rather then make bad investments later.
