Very much looking forward getting back to testing / drilling at Alameda but IMO Zapato still has excellent potential as does the JV - or they would not be suspending the well.

Suspending the well means they are at least committed to, at some point in future, coming back to Zapato and at the very least P&A the well. This would need a Rig to de-mobilise from one location, mobilise to Zapato, set up and then proceed to P&A. This could amount to a minimum of 10 to 15 days' work. At what some posters have mentioned as a day rate of US$50K/day for a Rig of this size (you would hope to get a smaller Rig) then you're looking at ~US$500 - 750K just to execute this.

For those interested, as an "addendum" to my Posts on Zapato I have posted below my reasoning for drilling to have continued a bit deeper. But also recognise that given the drilling time, need to get back to the Alameda area and the anomalous higher velocity for the volcanics it was getting (even for a former seismic interpreter!) very close to need to have another think about this and suspension time.
