Just in case anyone is curious about how deep we can go if they elect to drill further through the current Angwa formation and into the Lower Angwa.

I’m assuming the well design is not an issue from what Scott has said about anchoring the 9 5/8” casing into the 300m odd thick seal at the Forest level.

So it should be based on the constraints of the drilling rig. If the wireline logging turns out as positive as we all hope then I’m guessing they will run and cement a 7” casing to protect the integrity of what we’ve found to date (I haven’t seen any mention of open hole DST’s so I’m assuming they may want to come back later with a workover rig to perforate casing and do some flow tests) and then drill down in a 6” hole in this drill.

The Exalo Rig 202 has a max drill depth of 5,000m in a 5” hole as per below.

So the full extent of the Lower Angwa is still in play for this drill IMO.
