Just a further thought below- I haven’t looked into this.
How are trials for vaccines designed and run as once vaccinated such as malaria or Covid, how do we know whether the person actually came in contact with the virus and how the vaccine really helped them fight the virus? The prophylactic arm would be similar to the vaccinations I think.
