Yes a quick Google confirms his political leanings, and 'anti most things' stance, so on that basis no real surprise that he will take any opportunity to spread 'the word'(which has had its day around the same time the Berlin wall came down).
My reading is therefore same as yours....previously thought he had no chance...now I know he has no chance, and will be asked to cease and desist in the nicest possible way. i.e. Judgment will not be in his favour.
Just another road block to overcome.
Once we are past it then should be a bit of open road ahead.....being the road to relative riches.
