My experience is the opposite or they don't care.
Whatever it is, ASIC certainly doesn't seem to be interested in taking any meaningful action, they've had plenty of time!
Make a complaint if you don't think ASIC is doing enough, could get a manager to kick the butt of a lower down staff member into action.
