Dr. Giles is in obviously in an invidious position here, and there's not much room left for doubt that what you suggest is true.
The smothering of free speech is not a good look at all, in any context, for any reason and imho inexcuseable and completely unwanted in this matter.
I do not like being told who's opinions are safe, or "acceptable" for me to hear, and who's are not.
