It is probably the wrong place to look (the Corporations Act).
The Takeover Panel perhaps consists mostly of ASX member firms? If legislation was being violated blatantly, then the courts would be the right place to move forward rather than the Takeover Panel? Chapter 15 of the ASX Listing Rules deals with rules for documents (Lodgement, etc.)

But there should be a set of rules to do with Takeovers, but I can't find that section.
The requirements for info in the Bidder's Statement in Off-market bids in share for share offers are the same as those required for the production of a Prospectus - which probably takes one back to the Corporations Act - bit of a wild goose chase this. Not searched the Corporations Act for Prospectus requirements. Have to leave it there.
