On the subject of bashers for stocks being discussed above, it really is a thing. There's a copper stock I hold where one guy posts so frequently it's as if he does not sleep. More likely multiple people posting on the same account. Constant bashing of the stock (and I have no problem with bearish opinions, but it's just the same ones recycled over and over when any shareholders answer him) makes it quite suss.
I've heard countless stories about similar stuff on other stocks.
