I believe the takeovers panel doesn't accept applications and then announce them unless they have been submitted comprehensively correctly and have enough merit to be worthy of consideration. An active panel is the next step.

I wonder how Fletcher Handcock is dealing with the failure to submit the SEA by court ordered deadline in South Africa?

If they didnt need funding, then why do a placement? If they did need funding, then are things not as rosy as they make us believe?

The failure to submit the SEA certainly potentially exposes MRC to substantial issues in South Africa around Tormin, perhaps the urgent placement to AU Mining was to help deal with some exposure on this issue that we are not aware of yet, but may be discussed in teh upcoming quarterly?
