I am all in favour of any measure that will lead to a higher price, provided that it doesn't harm corporate performance in the meantime. The fourth quarter and annual financial statements are also due in the next couple of months.
Unlike the house analogy, Potentia have already indicated that they are prepared to spend close to half-a-billion (see their THIRD Supplementary Bidder's Statement) and thus it's safe to assume that they have gathered a whole heap of data from investigatory research on what the company is worth, and what they might do with it after a successful acquisition. Yes, they would like a whole lot more info and data; no doubt. Maybe they will get it, we will see.
I wouldn't worry too much about what is fair and reasonable when it comes to the stockmarket. All's fair with Love and Shares. Or to quote from the old black-and-white CALLAN series "oh we're never fair, otherwise we would lose".
