Well - I find the argument that shareholders collectively together should not take control or minorities should be protected. Really rich when its the encumbent directors clinging to their positions. I would have said tgey are the ones who dont want to lose the vote. I thought that majority rule was a corporate principle.
As regards Jones an associate - I think these things are a moot point. I may agree with someone today but decide I don't want to actually take the stance later. I used to navigate the political pools of the corporate world and as such there were many times things didnt eventuate and lose alliances shifted.
So you have to see how not allowing all the votes to be voted benefits all shareholders. As I see this it just identifies the mess this is.
